Lacking the education to rise him over the crowd, Sheldon had to obtain a job of their own and worked like a visiting professor at Heidelberg Institute in Germany at fifteen.



The character of Sheldon Cooper is played by Jim Parsons, that has won several awards for his portrayal from the character. Sheldon is one of the main guys in the show, who live over the hallway from Penny, one of their closest girl friends.



Sheldon Cooper's character was actually inspired by a computer programmer which was a co-creator on the series. The specific character comes from Sheldon Leonard and Nobel Prize Laureate Leon Cooper. Together, the names have created one of the most well-known characters on the TV today.



Other nicknames and alias for Sheldon include Shelly (by his family), Moon Pie (by his grandmother) and Sheldon the Conqueror or Sheldor as his personal favorites.
